Laurel Hall is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional - Behavior Specialist to support students with special needs in both academic and non-academic settings. The role involves implementing behavior management strategies, assisting with instruction, and helping create a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities include supervising students, supporting teachers, documenting data, and using de-escalation techniques.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children with special needs.
• Valid driver's license.
• Current BLS (CPR) and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and assist students throughout the school day.
• Support teachers with classroom instruction and daily activities.
• Model appropriate behavior and responsible use of technology.
• Implement behavior management strategies and interventions.
• Complete required documentation and behavioral data collection accurately and timely.
• Provide instructional support under the direction of classroom teachers.
• Interact with students in a positive, supportive, and professional manner.
• Utilize approved de-escalation and intervention techniques when necessary.
• Maintain professional boundaries with students, families, and staff.
• Attend team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Ensure continuous student supervision and maintain dependable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
