Job summary

May Institute in Randolph, MA seeks a Behavior Specialist (BCBA) to support adolescents and young adults in our Residential Program or School. You will design and supervise ABA services, develop tailored treatment plans, and lead a team of behavior technicians using data-driven methods.

This full-time role requires BCBA/BCBA-D and LABA licensure, a master’s degree, and strong leadership, communication, and empathy.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in behavior analysis, psychology, special education, or related field. Current enrollment in Master’s of Applied Behavior Analysis considered.
  • BCBA/BCBA-D and LABA license required; BCBA-D considered.
  • Strong problem-solving, empathy, and compassion for children and families.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the implementation of ABA services and lead a team of behavior technicians.
  • Develop and monitor behavior support plans and individualized treatment plans.

As a Behavior Specialist, you’ll use the power of Applied Behavior Analysis to develop tailored treatment plans, conduct thorough assessments, and lead our exceptional team of behavior technicians. In this role, you’ll provide training, supervision, and evaluation for staff, using your expertise in data collection and analysis to adapt strategies to each individual’s unique needs while upholding the highest ethical standards. Beyond the day-to-day, you’ll also support the development of innovative programs and help champion positive changes within our organization. This opportunity may be based within our Residential Program or School setting in Randolph, supporting adolescents and young adults. Schedule expectations may vary by program, and residential-based roles may include one weekend shift per month and one PM shift per week. Your Impact

What You Bring
  • Master’s degree in behavior analysis, psychology, special education, or a related field. Current enrollment in Master’s of Applied Behavior Analysis considered.
  • Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA/BCBA-D) and ABA State License (LABA) required. Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst considered.
  • Remarkable problem-solving abilities with a knack for identifying and resolving challenges.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and compassion for children and families.
  • Exceptional clinical skills in conducting functional behavior assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to drive team success.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of best practices in providing ABA services for children with autism, including familiarity with CASP autism guidelines and state regulations.

Compensation
  • Without BCBA certification: $63,000 – $73,000 annually
  • With BCBA certification: $77,000 – $87,000 annually
