Melmark is a nonprofit organization providing clinically-sophisticated services for individuals with autism and related disorders. The Behavior Specialist role supports the development and implementation of functional assessments, function-based interventions, and training for staff and families within the Residential Treatment Facility (RTF).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ABA or related field required.
• Active enrollment in a Master’s program leading to BCBA credential within 3 years.
• Experience in functional behavior assessments and behavior support plans.
• Experience in neurobehavioral stabilization or intensive residential setting preferred.
• Valid US driver’s license and minimum age 21.

Responsibilities

• Implements Melmark Model of Program Development and Clinical Treatment across all RTF services.
• Support the Behavior Analyst in conceptualizing clinical programming for caseload.
• Ensure consistent implementation of behavior support plans and data collection.
• Assists in supervision, training, and staffing patterns; maintains adequate staffing.
• Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings, reviews, and family trainings; ensures documentation compliance.
• Supports updates to protocol summaries and data sheets in a timely fashion.
• Assists in development and implementation of ISP.
