Job summary

Help at Home is seeking a dedicated Behavior Specialist to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Ocean Springs, MS and nearby communities. You will develop and implement Behavior Support Plans, analyze outcomes, train staff, and provide required documentation.

A BA/BS in social work or psychology and 5+ years' experience are required, plus a valid driver's license and ability to travel 20–50 miles.

About The Role

As a Behavior Specialist, you will participate in developing and implementing Behavior Support Plans, evaluate their effectiveness, and help adjust support strategies. You will also train staff and caregivers on implementation methods and provide required documentation to Behavior Consultants. This role requires travel within a 20–50 mile radius, as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel within a 20–50 mile radius, as needed.
• Availability to work day and weekend shifts.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify, develop, and deliver effective training methods.
• Ability to meet applicable state background check requirements.

Responsibilities
