Job summary

Help at Home, LLC is seeking a dedicated Behavior Specialist to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in homes and communities. You will participate in developing and implementing Behavior Support Plans, collect data, and train staff on effective strategies to meet individual needs.

Travel within a 20–50 mile radius is required, and a bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel within a 20–50 mile radius, as needed.
• Availability to work day and weekend shifts.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify, develop, and deliver effective training methods.
• Ability to meet applicable state background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development and implementation of individualized Behavior Support Plans.
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of Behavior Support Plans.
• Adjust or revise support strategies based on collected data and individual needs.
• Train staff and caregivers on support strategies and monitor their implementation.
• Submit required documentation to Behavior Consultants.
• Travel within the service area as needed to support individuals, staff, and caregivers.

About the Role
