Job summary

Camino Nuevo Charter Academy seeks a Behavioral Interventionist to support the Special Education Team in supervising and instructing students in various settings. The BI implements intensive behavior intervention programs to help students meet academic, social, emotional, and behavior goals.

The position involves assisting in IEP implementation, CPI-based safety, data collection, and collaboration with teachers, therapists, and families.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with disabilities, including autism.
• Training in ABA-based behavior intervention techniques.
• Spanish and English fluency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education staff with implementing IEPs and behavioral plans under supervision.
• Provide individual and group instruction and intensive behavior intervention in classroom settings.
• Record data daily on students’ progress and behavior.
• Assist in preparing learning materials and routine clerical tasks in the classroom.
• Supervise students before/after school, during lunch, and on field trips.
