Job summary

Tooele County School District seeks a Refocus Mentor to support the instructional program at the assigned school. You’ll oversee students with minor behavior concerns, contribute to PBIS efforts, and support the Tier I behavior team.

You will collaborate with teachers, parents and administrators, maintain records, and assist in implementing behavioral plans while promoting positive classroom environments.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 21 years or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior successful clerical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an intervention specialist to students with minor behavior concerns.
• Assist with implementation of behavioral plans as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to provide services.
• Coordinate program components to meet district guidelines.
• Maintain detailed records for reporting requirements.
• Monitor student behavior to support student success.
• Supervise students during school hours and in non-classroom activities as needed.
• Inform teachers/parents about student progress.
