Job summary

The Mapleton School in Malvern, PA, operated by Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, is seeking Teacher Assistants to provide direct behavioral intervention to students. This 52‑week position supports a multidisciplinary, strengths‑based educational program and offers a stable schedule from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

You will work with Special Education Teachers to implement skill acquisition and behavioral reduction plans, perform ongoing data collection, and help maintain safe classroom

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; special education degree preferred.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities or behavior disorders is expected.

Responsibilities

• Ensure student safety.
• Assist in establishing a structured learning environment to maximize learning and guide students to appropriate behaviors.
• Collaborate with Special Education Teachers to implement skill acquisition and behavioral reduction programs.
• Perform ongoing data collection and record keeping as directed by the Special Education Teacher.
