Job summary
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in West Chester, PA, is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support students in our School for Integrated Learning, focusing on autism interventions and strengths-based approaches. You will work with Special Education Teachers, help maintain safe, structured classrooms, and assist in implementing skill acquisition and behavioral support plans while collecting data.
This 52-week position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, a salary between $41,600 and $47,424, and
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Special Education preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure student safety
- Assist in establishing classroom environments that are conducive to maximum learning by maintaining structure and guiding students to socially appropriate behaviors
- Work with the Special Education Teachers to implement skill acquisition and behavioral reduction programs individually and in small groups
- Perform ongoing data collection and record keeping as directed by Special Education Teacher
