Description

Job Description: The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides one-to-one services to children, adolescents, and their families to reduce maladaptive behaviors in various settings, including home, school, and community.

Schedule: Full-Time

Location: Kennett Square, PA

Program: Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS)

Pay Rate: $18+/hour

Job Functions:

• Implement clinical service delivery goals aligned with agency policies
• Report to supervisors and administrative staff promptly
• Complete all required training before working independently with clients
• Provide necessary documentation to Human Resources
• Deliver services in compliance with licensure standards and best practices
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, families, and colleagues
• Participate in interagency meetings and represent the agency professionally
• Work within a team to develop quality service systems
• Promote safe and acceptable behavioral replacements to enhance communication and social skills
• Provide client services and support re-authorization processes
• Ensure accurate payroll and billing documentation
• Implement interventions based on treatment and behavior management plans
• Provide crisis intervention as needed
• Attend supervision and staff meetings

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
• At least one year of experience supporting youth or young adults with mental health needs
• Certification as BCAT (Board Certified Autism Technician)
• Clearances: Child Abuse, Criminal, FBI fingerprint checks, and verification of non-exclusion from Medicaid/Medicare

Additional relevant experience or education may be considered in lieu of some requirements at the discretion of the Personnel Officer.
