Job summary

The Oregon Department of Corrections seeks a Qualified Mental Health Professional to support the Behavioral Health Services in Ontario, Oregon. Qualifications

• Graduate degree or QMHP certification required or eligible for QMHP status.
• Minimum one year of full-time experience in mental health services or internships.
• Must be able to identify, assess, and treat mentally ill and developmentally disabled individuals.
• Ability to develop treatment plans and provide crisis intervention within a correctional setting.

Responsibilities

• Identify mentally ill and DD AICs and coordinate regular contact for mental status examinations.
• Conduct suicide assessments and develop treatment and risk management plans.
• Provide crisis services and conduct group facilitation as needed.
• Coordinate case management, treatment services, and records management.
• Assist with release planning and staff consultation/training.
