Complex Behavior. Meaningful Clinical Work. A Team That Needs You in the Middle of It.

If you're a BCBA or BCaBA who likes being involved, hands‑on, and close to the clinical work, this is not a sit‑behind‑a‑desk consultant position.

Interactive Kids is looking for a Behavior Consultant to join our Behavior Stabilization Services (BSS) team in Marlton. Our BSS program supports individuals with significant behavioral needs who benefit from intensive, individualized intervention and a highly coordinated treatment team.

You’ll assess, analyze, develop programming, coach staff, collaborate with families and professionals, and adjust treatment based on what you're seeing in real time.

Most importantly, you'll be present.

We're looking for a clinician who wants to know their clients, know their staff, and be actively involved in what is happening on the floor every day.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Complete the intake process, including reviewing and analyzing pre-admission clinical information from families and district representatives
  • Conduct function-based assessments, including Functional Analyses (FAs) and targeted assessments as clinically appropriate
  • Develop, write, revise, and monitor function-based behavior intervention plans
  • Analyze behavioral data and use it to make informed clinical decisions
  • Develop daily programming, schedules, materials, and treatment supports
  • Complete initial and concurrent insurance authorization reports for insurance-funded clients
  • Train and supervise RBTs and direct care staff, including treatment integrity, IOA, clinical coaching, and RBT/BCBA fieldwork supervision as applicable
  • Lead and participate in team meetings to review progress, address barriers, and support discharge planning
  • Serve as a liaison between families, school districts, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary providers to incorporate educational, communication, and other treatment goals into the client's day
  • At times, serve as site supervisor by helping oversee daily program operations and communicating directly with program leadership
This Is a Hands-On Consultant Role

We mean that literally.

Our consultants aren't expected to supervise treatment from across the room or from behind a computer. You'll be in the environment with your team, modeling interventions, observing behavior, coaching staff, troubleshooting difficult moments, and helping everyone understand what needs to happen next.

BSS serves clients with high-intensity behavioral needs, which means the work can be physically and emotionally demanding. Consultants must be comfortable responding calmly and clinically during challenging situations and working in an environment where aggressive or unsafe behaviors may occur.

If your supervisory style is "show me what's happening and let's figure it out together," you'll probably feel at home here.

Why This Role Matters

BSS is designed for clients whose behavioral needs require more intensive support, structure, and clinical problem-solving.

Your work isn't just about reducing a behavior on a graph. You're helping a client develop safer, more functional ways to communicate and navigate their environment. You're helping direct care staff understand why behavior is happening and giving them tools to respond effectively. You're helping families and other stakeholders see progress where things may have felt stuck.

That requires a clinician who can combine strong ABA knowledge with leadership, flexibility, patience, and the ability to stay grounded when things get difficult.

You Might Be a Great Fit If...
  • Are a current BCBA or BCaBA
  • Have strong experience with functional assessment, behavior reduction, and function-based treatment
  • Are comfortable working with individuals who engage in significant or high-intensity behavior
  • Have strong clinical judgment and aren't afraid to make decisions when a situation changes
  • Enjoy developing and coaching RBTs and direct care staff
  • Have a hands‑on supervisory style and naturally lead by example
  • Can communicate effectively with families, districts, staff, and multidisciplinary providers
  • Are organized enough to manage documentation, insurance requirements, supervision, and programming without losing sight of what's happening clinically
  • Stay calm under pressure and approach difficult situations with curiosity and problem-solving
  • Want to be part of a team where consultants are active clinical leaders, not distant supervisors
Why Interactive Kids?

At Interactive Kids, our consultants are trusted to use their clinical judgment while having access to a larger team for collaboration, problem-solving, and support.

Full-time employees also have access to:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • PTO, paid sick time, and paid holidays
  • $25,000 company-paid life insurance
  • 401(k) with employer contribution
  • Professional development and training opportunities
  • Tuition discounts through university partners
  • Opportunities to provide supervision and help develop future behavior analysts
