Qualifications: Appropriate Oregon license and current First Aid Card. This vacancy is open to Licensed Special Education Teachers, Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed School Psychologists, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA).
Compensation: Salary ranges from $51,120 to $106,235 for 195/196 day contracts, prorated based on FTE and dates. Eligible for stipends: $2,907 for the 2025-2026 school year, and an additional $2,000 if multilingual in Spanish, Arabic, Ukrainian, or Russian, upon passing a proficiency test.
Position Summary: The Behavior Coach - TOSA will collaborate with schools, Special Education Directors, and the Executive Director of Student Support Services to provide behavioral support, staff development, facilitate functional behavior assessments, develop behavior intervention plans, and support students with behavioral and social-emotional needs based on IEPs.
Minimum Qualifications: Valid Oregon license, evidence of insurability, and criminal justice fingerprint clearance.
Preferred Qualifications: Minimum three years of experience with students with disabilities in Oregon, knowledge of Special Education law, and skills in communication, conflict resolution, collaboration, coaching, curriculum consultation, time management, problem-solving, and facilitating meetings.
Major Responsibilities: Expertise in student behaviors, developing and training on behavioral strategies, conducting assessments, training staff, supporting students transitioning from restrictive placements, participating in leadership teams, and performing other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements and Workplace Expectations: Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, use fine motor skills, reach, see clearly, and lift 15-45 pounds. Maintain punctuality, confidentiality, professionalism, and adhere to district policies and procedures.
