Job summary

Onward Education is seeking a Behavior Coach / Interventionist for a full-time, onsite role in Maricopa County, AZ. You will implement BIPs, provide 1:1 and small-group support, and teach social and self-regulation skills to students with behavioral needs.

Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff; collect data to guide interventions and ensure compliance with district requirements. Arizona IVP & NCI credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience supporting students with behavioral and emotional needs.
• Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and PBIS.
• Excellent communication and data collection skills.
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card and driver's license required.
• NCI certification or ability to obtain.
• Must meet district onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and strategies from the student support team.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group behavioral support during the school day.
• Teach and reinforce social skills, communication, self-regulation, and coping skills.
• Use positive behavior supports and de-escalation techniques to promote success.
• Collect and maintain behavioral data to monitor progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, admins, and families for consistent supports.
• Model effective behavioral strategies for school staff.
• Assist with crisis prevention and intervention using approved procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district requirements.
