Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Guidance Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • State certification from ADE in Guidance Counseling, Social Work, Special Education, or General Education.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with children with disabilities is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a resource to the Child Study Team and District Threat Assessment Team.
  • Completes classroom observations for students with behavioral needs.
  • Supports general education teachers in addressing behavioral needs.
  • Participates in IEP meetings to collaborate on goals and services.
  • Implements and monitors Behavior Intervention Plans written in IEPs.
  • Conducts Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and data collection.
