Eden Autism Services Inc. is seeking a full-time Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to lead clinical initiatives at The Eden School. The BCBA will train and mentor staff, develop Behavior Support Plans, and ensure fidelity to Eden best practices for students ages 3-21.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and meet physical requirements.

Eden Autism is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team at The Eden School. This full-time position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to impact the lives of students with autism. You’ll be working alongside creative and like-minded BCBAs, teaching and support staff, creating a positive team environment in support of our students!Our BCBAs provide clinical leadership for Eden School students (ages 3-21), through training and mentoring clinical, school, and program staff to ensure compliance with state agency regulations and fidelity to Eden best practice standards.RESPONSIBILITY SNAPSHOT:Clinical LeadershipAssist in the creation learning environments that are supportive of student needs and that use evidence-based practices for intervention purposes.Serve as a model for clinical intervention provisions that emphasize positive practices and limit the use of restraint.Provide professional development, coaching, and timely performance feedback to staff as needed; motivate and inspire confidence in staff.Provide compassionate care; accord others with dignity. Establish expectations of clinical accountability, transparency, integrity, and effectiveness for all staff and families.Behavior Support Plan DevelopmentIn conjunction with School staff, develop and update Behavior Support Plans. Coordinate the collection of behavior data, perform required analyses, and create graphic illustrations of data. Conduct treatment integrity and data reliability checks as needed.Assist with completion of Functional Behavior Assessments, including Descriptive Assessments, Functional Analyses, Skills Assessments, and Preference Assessments.Assist in the preparation of documents and analysis of data for presentation to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), Behavior Management Committee (BMC), and Human Rights Committee (HRC) meetings as needed.Training and School SupportSchedule and conduct clinical-related training for Eden School staff.Observe all classroom and learning environments and provide performance feedback. Consult with School staff regarding any behavioral issues; provide written recommendations and follow up as needed.Provide support and clinical assistance to families in home and community settings.Attend monthly staffing meetings to provide leadership, direction, and specialized trainings as needed (e.g., behavior intervention plans, data collection, and Incident Report writing).Supervision, Communication, and MeetingsAssist in providing clinical leadership, oversight, performance feedback, and coaching to graduate students doing field work toward BCBA certification, as needed.Participate in annual assessment meetings with School staff.Attend Pre-IEP and IEP meetings as neededAttend BMC, HRC and RRC as needed(The responsibilities listed are representative and not all inclusive; other duties may be assigned by supervisor/s.)MUST HAVES:Master’s degree in related field.Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA) with no sanctions or disciplinary actions.Minimum two years of experience working with students with developmental disabilitiesPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Ability to sit, stand, bend, squat, kneel, stretch, stoop, and/or reach above shoulder level for extended periods of time (up to 30 minutes) during the work day.Ability to pass and maintain Professional Crisis Management (PCM) certification, including implementation of all strategies and techniques.Specialized Skills and KnowledgeExpertise with Applied Behavior Analysis.
