Discovery Point Lexington Oaks in Flowery Branch, GA is seeking a full-time Teacher Assistant for our toddler classroom. You will support the lead teacher, help create a safe, enriching environment, and assist with daily activities.

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and nurturing Full-Time Teacher Assistant to join our toddler classroom. In this role, you will support the lead teacher in creating a safe, enriching, and stimulating environment for toddlers. Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and lesson implementation.


• Provide individualized support to children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.


• Encourage children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through hands-on activities and positive interaction.


• Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.


• Help supervise children during playtime, meals, and transitions.


• Collaborate with other staff members to support classroom operations and maintain a clean, organized space.


• Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress and milestones.


• Assist with record-keeping and documentation of developmental observations.


• Implement classroom routines and contribute to a structured, consistent environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education is a plus).


• Previous experience working with toddlers or in a daycare setting is preferred but not required.


• Strong communication skills and a nurturing, patient approach.


• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from the lead teacher.


• Knowledge of child development and early childhood education practices.


• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Compensation: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
