Job summary

Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, including Nashville Public Library, seeks a Begin Bright Digital Learning Associate. This full-time, grant-funded, non-Civil Service role coordinates the Begin Bright app for early literacy with educators and families.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary point-of-contact for the Begin Bright app with organizations and NPL staff.
  • Assist childcare centers and partners with implementation (training, presentations).
  • Provide basic user support via email, phone, and in-person presentations.
  • Collect and analyze app use data and other key metrics.
  • Prepare reports for NPL, NPLF, and state agencies.
  • Collaborate to integrate digital content into early literacy programming.
  • Coordinate content updates with NPL staff and vendors.
  • Support marketing to promote the app and its use.
  • Travel throughout Davidson County; some evening/weekend hours required.

This is a full-time, grant funded non-Civil Service position with the Nashville Public Library. The Begin Bright Digital Learning Associate position coordinates the new Begin Bright app, a free early literacy app for early childhood educators and families within Davidson County. This position serves as the primary point-of-contact for the Begin Bright app, a free early literacy app for early childhood educators and families. Provides support and coordinates with NPL staff and external stakeholders to ensure effective implementation and utilization. Candidate will be expected to travel throughout Davidson County. Some evening and weekend hours are required.

Typical Duties
  • Serves as primary point-of-contact for the app with organizations, external contractors and NPL staff
  • Assists childcare centers and other partners to support implementation (training, presentations)
  • Provides basic user support through email, phone and in-person presentations
  • Collects and analyzes app use data and other key metrics
  • Prepares reports regularly for NPL, NPLF, and state agencies
  • Works with program staff to incorporate digital content into existing and new early literacy programming: Bringing Books to Life educator workshops, Loving and Learning family workshops, Begin Bright Little Libraries, etc.
  • Collaborates with NPL and vendors to develop and modify content for Begin Bright’s learning app
  • Coordinates logistics for creating updated content
  • Supports NPL Marketing & Communications to promote the app and its use
  • Assists with other Begin Bright and Bringing Books to Life programming as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field from an accredited college or university

  • Additional related experience may be considered in lieu of education
