Job summary

Belmont University is seeking Student Employees to assist with childcare for Adult GED classes. The hourly rate is $18.00, in alignment with BU Student Employment policies and Federal Work-Study guidelines.

Duties include assisting the Childcare Coordinator with class time, Story Time, Play Time, and occasional evening setup. Positions are available in Franklin, Madison, Crievewood and Woodbine with Tue/Thu or Mon/Thu sessions.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a current Belmont University student.
• Must have Federal Work Study eligibility.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Maturity, humor and the ability to be lovingly firm. Reliability a must!
• Must be able to physically keep up with children ages birth through 5th grade.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist Childcare Coordinator in caring for the children of Adult GED students during class time
• Assist Childcare Coordinator with Story Time
• Assist Childcare Coordinator with Play Time
• May include assisting the Program Director in class set up for the evening

Positions are open in

• Franklin (19 miles) on Tuesdays and Thursdays
• Madison (12 miles) on Mondays and Thursdays
• Crievewood (6.9 miles) on Tuesday and Thursdays
• Woodbine (13 miles) on Mondays and Thursdays

Required Qualifications

This is an off-campus position. Applicants MUST have Federal Work Study and reliable means of transportation.

Maturity, humor and the ability to be lovingly firm. Reliability a must!

Must be able to physically keep up with children ages birth through 5th grade. May include sitting on the floor to play and lifting small children.
