Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Head Teacher for the Before School Program at Stafford Elementary School in Stafford Springs, CT for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt role follows the school calendar with morning hours 7:00–8:10 am.

The position offers $20.00 per hour and employer-paid childcare benefits. Credentials include an education degree or CDA and related experience as listed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates a warm, friendly and positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills when working with children, parents, and team members.
• Maintains professionalism; dependable and punctual.
• Physically able to supervise children and engage in activities, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, etc.) and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment; model positive behavior.
• Observe state guidelines, program policies, and host school rules.
• Support program operations, including attendance, registration, and staffing.
