Job summary

YMCA of Middle Tennessee is hiring for Part-time Before School Childcare Assistants supporting School Age Programs. Location: serving schools in Davidson County's Dickerson Pike Community; participating schools Bellshire Elementary and Kipp Ewing Park Elementary.

Position is part-time, not summer-only; shifts 6:30am–8:30am. Responsibilities include leading groups of 15–20 children, preparing spaces, implementing YMCA-aligned curriculum, and building relationships with staff and families.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Enthusiasm for working with children and youth development.
• Ability to stay active and supervise groups of children.

Responsibilities

• Actively lead and engage a group of 15–20 children during before-school activities.
• Set up spaces and maintain cleanliness for child-friendly environments.
• Help implement a quality curriculum aligned with YMCA guidelines.
• Build positive relationships with staff, school personnel, and families.
• Ensure licensing and quality standards are maintained.
