Job summary

The YMCA of Middle Tennessee is hiring a Part-time Before School Childcare Assistant to support our School Age Programs in Antioch. You will help supervise 15–20 children before school, create a safe, engaging environment, and partner with school staff and families.

This part-time role runs Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 8:30am, with a pay starting at $15 per hour, depending on childcare experience. A HS diploma and a passion for youth development are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enthusiastic, organized, and team-oriented individuals with a passion for youth development.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to multitask.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and spend time standing and outdoors in varying weather.

Position Type: Part-time **This is NOT a temporary or summer-only position.**

Pay Range starts at $15 per hour (or more depending on the childcare experience listed in the application or resume)

Shifts: Must be available Monday through Friday,Before School Care (6:30am to 8:30am)

Availability Requirements:

• Must be available Monday through Friday
• Must be able to commit to ongoing employment during the 2026–2027 school year
• This position is not suitable for individuals seeking summer‑only employment

Certifications Required:

• Before your first shift: Orientation, DHS Background Check, Fingerprinting, Abuse Registry Check, health forms, training sessions, and references.
• Within 30 days of hire: CPR/First Aid/AED (Infant/Pediatric).
