Job summary

The Eagan Area YMCA is seeking a School Age Care Program Staff member for the before-school program in Eagan, MN. This part-time role runs Monday through Friday, 6:00am–9:15am, with no evenings or weekends, and includes benefits like a free Y membership and growth opportunities.

You will help create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where kids can learn, play, and be themselves, while adhering to YMCA core values and CACFP guidelines where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 16.
• Complete required YMCA training courses within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to lead, plan, organize, and implement program activities.
• Good communication, organization, and human relations.
• Willingness to work with diverse populations.
• Preferred: Previous experience with school age children.
• Knowledge of CACFP Program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in writing and implementing weekly lesson plans.
• Organize and lead activities for school-age children (arts/crafts, indoor/outdoor games, enrichment).
• Keep site clean and organized.
• Maintain program records (incident reports, rosters, logbook, attendance).
• Assist in evaluating child and program progress.
• Maintain CACFP and Health Licensing for meals and snacks, if applicable.
