Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is seeking a Group Leader Assistant to support before- and after-school programs at Buckland Mills Elementary and other local sites in Gainesville, VA.

You will help run activities, ensure safety, and engage children in a structured, high-energy environment. Responsibilities include assisting with daily curriculum activities, maintaining a clean space, and building strong relationships with kids, families, and school staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
• Must pass a Background Screening and Central Registry check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts).
• Encourage positive peer interactions and prioritize child safety.
• Keep the space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff.

ON THE SPOT INTERVIEWS: OCTOBER 5TH AT BUCKLAND MILLS ELEMENTARY: 10511 Wharfdale Pl, Gainesville, VA 20155, ENTRANCE AT DOOR 2 FROM 5:00 PM UNTIL 6:30 PM

Location(s): Haymarket, Bristow, Gainesville, and Manassas

Pay: Range $14.50-17

Hours: No weekends! Part-time (mornings and/or afternoons)! The before-school hours are 6:00-9:15 AM, and the after-school hours are 3:00-6:30 PM.
