Job summary

AlphaBEST Education is seeking a Group Leader to supervise students in after-school programs at Suffolk Elementary Schools. The role focuses on safe, structured activities across World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts while fostering an inclusive, engaging environment.

Qualified candidates are 18+, with a high school diploma or GED, and at least 6 months experience instructing children in groups. The position requires flexibility to cover various shifts and tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 6 months experience instructing children in a group setting.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts)
• Make child safety the top priority at all times
• Keep the space clean and organized
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff

Hours: Monday through Friday AM shift 6:30am-9:15am PM shift 3:30pm-6pm
