Job summary

AlphaBEST Education in Windsor, CO is seeking a Site Director Substitute for part-time hours (morning and/or late afternoon) to lead a high-energy before- and after-school program at multiple elementary schools.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, supervise staff, ensure licensing compliance, manage attendance, and build strong relationships with families and school partners while maintaining a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Must meet CO licensing requirements as listed in the job posting.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and pass a background check as required by CO childcare licensing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the site: schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation
• Oversee/facilitate curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations
• Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards
• Make child safety the top priority at all times
• Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections
• Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements
• Supervise and mentor your site team, providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring training requirements are met
• Represent AlphaBEST with professionalism at school and community events
• Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success

M-F (6:30 am-8:30 am and/or 2:00 pm-6:00 pm)

As an AlphaBEST Site Director, you'll lead a meaningful before and after-school program that helps kids learn, grow, and thrive.

Requirements:

Here's what you'll need:

• Must meet one of the following qualifications per CO licensing regulations:
  • completed a bachelor's degree (in a related field, such as recreation, outdoor education, elementary or early childhood education, or a subject in the human service field)
  • 2 years of college education and 6 months (910 hours) of *satisfactory and verifiable experience
  • 3 years of *satisfactory and verifiable experience, along with 6+ semester hours or college education, OR 40 clock hours of training in coursework applicable to school-age children. Satisfactory and verifiable experience must have occurred after you were 18 years or older and must be for the care/supervision of children 4 years or older.
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
• Must be able to successfully complete a background check as required by CO childcare licensing regulations
