Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is hiring Before and After School Youth Workers in Indianapolis and surrounding areas. You will help implement programs, supervise a group of 6-12 children, and engage them in high-energy activities while collaborating with parents, staff, and school personnel.

Under the guidance of a Site Director, you will contribute to social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth, embodying the YMCA values of caring, honesty, responsibility, and respect.

Qualifications

• Experience with elementary-aged children preferred.
• Ability to work in a team and follow program guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of 6-12 children during activities.
• Engage children in high-energy, engaging activities throughout the day.
• Collaborate with the Site Director and school personnel to support program goals.

Position Overview

The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is currently filling positions for Before and After School YOUTH WORKERS throughout Indianapolis and surrounding areas for our Before and After School programs. Youth Workers assist in the implementation of programming and interact positively with parents, other staff, and school personnel to develop a trusting relationship. This position helps in fostering social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth and demonstrates the core values of caring, honesty, responsibility, and respect with program participants. Under the guidance of a Site Director, Youth Workers are responsible for directly supervising a group of 6-12 children while engaging with them in a variety of high-energy activities throughout the day.
