Job summary

The YMCA of the Suncoast is seeking a Before and/or After School Site Supervisor at Highland Lakes Elementary in Palm Harbor, FL. You will oversee daily operations of the School-Age program, ensure safety, compliance with licensing, and foster positive relationships with children, families, staff, schools, and the community.

This leadership role requires staff supervision, lesson planning, budgeting, and community engagement, along with responsive program management and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years in childcare and staff supervision.
• Knowledge of youth development and behavior management.
• CPR/AED and First Aid required within 90 days of hire.
• MODS training within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations ensuring safety and developmentally appropriate environment.
• Design lesson plans focusing on social-emotional learning and academic support.
• Monitor program quality and compliance with licensure and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records for children, staff and volunteers.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff and volunteers.
• Lead weekly planning meetings and ensure policy alignment.
• Engage families and community stakeholders.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitor site finances.
• Manage fee collection and report balances weekly.
• Support fundraising and special events.
• Ensure child protection and document incidents.
• Maintain clean, hazard-free spaces.
