Job summary

YMCA of the Suncoast seeks a Before and/or After School Site Supervisor for Highland Lakes Elementary in Palm Harbor, FL. The role leads the School-Age Program site, aligning with YMCA values, licensing requirements, and youth development goals.

You will supervise staff and volunteers, design enrichment plans, and maintain records. Strong collaboration with families and schools is essential, along with fiscal responsibilities and safety oversight.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's in a child-related field preferred.
• Meet qualifications to be a staff member in charge (SMIC).
• Minimum of 2 years of childcare and staff supervision experience.
• CPR/AED and First Aid required within 90 days of hire.
• MODS state-m mandated training within 12 months.
• Florida Director Credential preferred.
• Must meet YMCA driving criteria.
• Lifeguard & Listen First certifications preferred (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations to provide a safe, nurturing environment.
• Design and implement lesson plans focused on social-emotional learning, academic support, and enrichment.
• Monitor program quality and ensure licensing compliance.
• Maintain accurate records for children, staff, and volunteers.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff and volunteers.
• Facilitate weekly planning meetings and ensure alignment with YMCA values.
• Engage families and community; represent the YMCA at functions and events.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitor site finances; manage fee collection and report balances.
• Ensure safety and emergency readiness; report incidents and maintain hazard-free spaces.
