Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a School-Age Childcare Assistant Site Director for our Frelinghuysen Elementary School program in Newton, NJ, to support Before and After School care during the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt role follows the school calendar with morning and/or afternoon shifts.

Ideal candidates bring experience with children, classroom management, and a cooperative spirit to help families and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or early childhood coursework preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience working with children in school, childcare, camp, or youth program settings.
• Some lead or supervisory experience preferred; familiarity with before- and after-school programs is a plus.
• Knowledge of state childcare licensing or school-age care regulations is helpful but not required.
• Calm, flexible, and resourceful in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to pass required background and fingerprint clearances.
