Job summary

AlphaBEST Education is seeking a Group Leader Assistant at Waldon Woods Elementary School in Clinton, MD to support before- and after-school programs. You will help deliver engaging activities and maintain a safe, structured environment for children.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds).
• 3-6 months childcare experience in a licensed setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts) while encouraging positive peer interactions
• Make child safety the top priority at all times
• Keep the space clean and organized
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff
