Job summary

Vance Airscoop is seeking energetic and dependable individuals to join our Before & After School Program as Group Leaders. The role offers part-time hours (15–30 per week) with morning or afternoon shifts, a $15.00/hour pay rate, and a $300 sign-on bonus paid after milestones.

You'll supervise and engage school-age children, lead activities, and collaborate with families and school staff to create a safe, enriching environment before and after the school day.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with children is preferred.
  • Understanding of child development and ability to interact with children at various developmental stages.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between program locations as needed.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Communicable Disease, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and engaging school-age children in a safe and positive environment.
  • Planning and leading age-appropriate activities, games, crafts, and enrichment experiences.
  • Building positive relationships with children, families, school staff, and community partners.
  • Supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of every child at all times.
  • Maintaining required child-to-staff ratios.
  • Assisting with weekly lesson planning and program implementation.
  • Following all licensing, state, federal, and quality standards, including ODJFS and Step Up to Quality requirements.
  • Communicating effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's daily experience.
  • Maintaining clean, organized, and engaging program spaces.
  • Reporting concerns, incidents, or special needs appropriately and professionally.
  • Participating in staff meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Schedule Options
Morning Shifts
  • Monday through Friday
  • Between 6:30 AM and 8:00 AM or 9:30 AM
Afternoon Shifts
  • Monday through Friday
  • Between 2:00 PM or 3:30 PM and 6:00 PM

Must be 18 years of age or older.

What You'll Do
