Job summary

City Center YMCA in Lancaster is seeking a Before and After Care Assistant Group Supervisor to power a safe, high-energy start and finish to kids’ school days on a split shift (6:45-8:30 AM and 3:00-5:30 PM, Monday-Friday). Pay is $15.00-$16.00/hour.

You will lead activities, supervise the classroom, reinforce positive behavior, and communicate with parents while completing required documentation. Certifications and clearances are required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Must pass State Police, Child Abuse, NSOR and FBI clearances.
• Mandated Reporter training or ability to obtain.
• Pediatric First Aid/CPR & AED certification or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of early childhood education/child development and classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging activities by following program plans and curriculum.
• Supervise children and the classroom.
• Use positive guidance and reinforcement to support behavior and belonging.
• Follow safety, emergency, and infection-control procedures.
• Communicate clearly with children and parents; complete required documentation.
