Job summary

Charter Schools USA is seeking a Before & After Care Worker to help maintain a safe, orderly and welcoming environment in the cafeteria, playground and designated areas. You will supervise students during before and after school programs and support school staff in following established procedures.

The role emphasizes a professional demeanor, excellent customer service, and the ability to resolve conflicts with children and parents while keeping safety and program rules at the forefront.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher education credential.
• Previous experience as daycare assistant or summer camp counselor is preferred.
• Must like children.
• Commitment to company values.

Responsibilities

• Reflect a professional manner at all times and provide excellent customer service.
• Resolve conflicts with children and parents; be firm but friendly and courteous with families and coworkers.
• Follow proper sign-in and dismissal procedures for Before Care and After Care.
• Monitor students and observe who enters and leaves childcare areas; supervise and assist with homework.
• Pass out snacks, play on the playground, tutor and assist students with homework; support a safe, welcoming environment.
