Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Programs for the 2026–2027 school year. This role supports children ages 5–12 with engaging activities morning and afternoon, following the school calendar.

Part-time, non-exempt position at our Newburgh/New Windsor sites; opportunities may exist for both morning and afternoon shifts, with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour and employer-paid childcare benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Health clearance including TB screening as required by state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework assistance.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registrations, and staffing responsibilities.
