Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Pittsburgh Minadeo Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves caring for children 5–12 with engaging activities and a collaborative team environment.

This part-time, non-exempt position offers employer-paid childcare benefits and flexible scheduling aligned with the school day.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience with children under 13.
• Background check with fingerprinting and references.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Warm, friendly, professional and reliable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum with fitness, STEAM, and arts.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and serve as a positive role model.
• Follow state guidelines and program policies.
• Assist with attendance records, registration, and staffing as needed.
