Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Assistants for our Before and After School Programs in Westchester, NY for the 2026–2027 school year. Morning and afternoon programs run 7:30–9:00 am and 2:00–6:00 pm, with opportunities for either or both time slots.

This part-time, non-exempt role offers employer-paid childcare and a path to growth within a mission-driven team. Strong communication with families and reliability are important; a HS diploma or 1 year of child-care experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds with children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, art, and homework support.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and engaging environment and act as a positive role model for children.
• Observe state guidelines and program policies; support registration and staffing tasks as needed.
