Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for Horace W. Porter School in Columbia, CT. The role supports before- and after-school activities aligned with our curriculum.

The position follows the school calendar with morning and/or afternoon shifts, and offers meaningful childcare coverage benefits. Applicants should be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience with children is preferred, and state health clearances are required.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older, High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience with kids preferred.
• Health clearance including TB screening as required by state regulations.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities using the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework).
• Provide a safe, healthy, and engaging environment; act as a positive role model.
• Observe state guidelines and program policies.
• Support program operations such as attendance records, registration, and staffing.
