Job summary

YMCA of Central Stark County (Ohio) is hiring Before and After School Assistant Teachers to support K-5 students in Alliance, Canton, North Canton, and surrounding districts. You will lead activities, supervise children, and partner with families and school staff to ensure a safe, engaging environment before and after school.

Responsibilities include guiding arts, sports, STEM, and social skills, maintaining licensing compliance, and modeling positive behavior.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Completed high school or GED.
• Ability to pass a background check.

$12.35 /HR

• Serve as a professional role model for children grades K-5 by leading through example, encouraging healthy and safe behaviors and creating a positive experience while ensuring safety and proper supervision of all.
• Participate in and lead activities with students that include, but are not limited to, arts and crafts, sports, STEM, character education, and social and emotional skills.
• Partner and build relationships with parents, school employees, administration and other adults in order to foster a supportive environment for each child.
• Be a part of an amazing team of staff focused on teaching teamwork and social skills, and supporting children as they grow and learn.
• Partner and build relationships with parents, school employees, administration and other adults in order to foster a supportive environment for each child.
• Execute State Licensing and Step Up to Quality requirements in order to provide a quality care environment.
