BEER-WINE-LIQR/LEAD CLERK (Finance)



Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Achieve sales and profit goals established for the department, and monitor and control all established quality assurance standards. Direct and supervise all functions, duties, and activities for the department. Support the day-to-day functions of the Beer/Wine/Spirits operations. Minimum requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
  • Ability to handle stressful situations

Desired qualifications:

  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • Management experience preferred
  • Beer/Wine/Liquor experience
  • Familiarity with industry terms and processes
  • Retail experience
  • Knowledge of imported and domestic varieties, flavor profiles, and production processes
  • Knowledge of industry trends in specialty wines and beers relevant to customers
  • Second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing)

Key responsibilities include:

  • Promoting trust and respect among associates.
  • Communicating company, department, and job-specific information effectively.
  • Establishing performance goals and empowering associates to meet or exceed them.
  • Managing scheduling to handle customer volume.
  • Training and developing staff, conducting performance appraisals.
  • Adhering to all legal and company guidelines.
  • Creating a welcoming environment for customers, answering product questions, offering samples, and informing about specials.
  • Developing and executing business and promotional plans.
  • Managing inventory and stock conditions, updating shelf tags, and maintaining temperature logs.
  • Ensuring safety procedures are followed and unsafe conditions are reported.

Salary Range: $24.11 per hour.
