BEER-WINE-LIQR/LEAD CLERK (Finance)

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Achieve sales and profit goals established for the department, and monitor and control all established quality assurance standards. Direct and supervise all functions, duties, and activities for the department. Support the day-to-day functions of the Beer/Wine/Spirits operations. Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service. Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
Desired Qualifications:
  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • Management experience preferred
  • Beer/Wine/Liquor experience
  • Familiar with industry terms and processes
  • Retail experience
  • Knowledge of imported and domestic varieties, flavor profiles, and production methods
  • Knowledge of industry trends in specialty wines and beers as they relate to the customer
  • Second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote trust and respect among associates.
  • Communicate company, department, and job-specific information to associates.
  • Establish performance goals for the department and empower associates to meet or exceed targets.
  • Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume throughout hours of operation.
  • Train and develop associates on their job performance and participate in performance appraisals.
  • Adhere to all laws, regulations, and company guidelines.
  • Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued.
  • Offer product samples and inform customers of specials, within legal guidelines.
  • Display a positive attitude and develop a department business plan to achieve results.
  • Create and execute sales promotions and inform staff about current and upcoming promotions.
  • Prepare reports, manage budgets, and review financial performance.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and manage pricing updates.
  • Train staff on inventory management and computer systems.
  • Ensure proper temperature controls and safety procedures are followed.
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Salary Range: $24.11 per hour.
