Job summary

Beer Den/Sunmill Wines in South Carolina is seeking a friendly, sales‑savvy clerk to educate guests on beer and wine attributes and ensure brand materials are properly displayed. You will maintain the store’s sanitation, assist with pricing and product selection, and train fellow clerks to deliver excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of beer and wine.
• Knowledge of ALE laws governing sale and purchase.
• Sales-minded with strong communication and guest service.
• Friendly and outgoing personality.
• Self-motivated, trustworthy and guideline-adherent.
• Ability to collaborate with others.
• Ability to read and follow information/directions.
• Ability to communicate with Store Manager, DSD Receiver and vendors.
• Physical ability to stand, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Educate guests on beer and wine attributes.
• Display and maintain marketing materials, signage, prices, flyers.
• Maintain sanitation and appearance of Beer Den/Sunmill Wines.
• Collaborate with category managers and suppliers on pricing and selection.
• Train other clerks and ensure information is available for hosts.
• Conduct tastings and in-store demos.
• Follow state laws governing sampling, sale and purchasing.
• Wash and prepare growlers.
• Fill growlers per standards.
• Maintain inventory of growlers, glass, lids and supplies.
• Announce specials and sale info via PA system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
