Job summary

New Holland Brewing Company in Holland, MI is seeking a Server to provide friendly, high-energy service in a fast-paced environment. You will showcase beer, wine and spirits knowledge while engaging guests and delivering an exceptional dining experience.

You will greet guests, explain menu items, follow the seven steps of service, and maintain a clean station. This role requires availability on days, nights, weekends, and holidays and the ability to work with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 2 years serving experience or experience as a New Holland host.
• Cicerone and ServeSafe certified, or ability to complete certification within 90 days of employment.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate a cash register.

Responsibilities

• Lead and act in a manner that is consistent with our Mission, Vision & Values.
• Warmly welcome the guests in your section in a timely fashion and engage guests in conversation.
• Follow the seven steps of service.
• Check customer identification for age verification in accordance with legal standards.
• Know our beer, wine and spirits and describe each item in terms of taste, style and category.
• Make drink & food recommendations and answer questions about items on both menus.
• Maintain cleanliness at server station.
• Perform opening, running and closing side work.
• Respond promptly and accurately to guest needs and requests.
• Ability to perform host duties, as necessary.
• Know all of the company’s upcoming events and promotions.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
