Job summary

Lowes Foods in Wendell, NC is hiring for a Meat/Seafood Department team member. You will provide friendly guest service, showcase selling skills, and keep the department stocked and presentable.

Responsibilities include knife-ready product prep, receiving and inventory support, price/rotate items, and maintaining safety and sanitation in prep areas and display cases. Applicants should be able to lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.

• Greets guests warmly and creates a selling environment in the meat/seafood department.
• Prepares knife-ready products (cut, slice, trim, wrap, weigh, price) per standards.
• Assists with product receiving, inventory, and storage.
• Prices and rotates frozen items, prepared meats, and seafood in sales areas.
• Maintains safety and sanitation in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Ensures products are fresh and in date; communicates shrink issues to management.
• Relays guest requests to management and assists as needed.
• Makes PA announcements for sales and promotions in department.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

• Provides polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests as they approach the department. Creates a selling environment using selling skills.
• Prepares knife-ready products for sale (cut, slice, trim, wrap, weigh, and price) according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Assists in product receiving, inventory, and storage.
• Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat/seafood in sales areas.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat/seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Maintains high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date.
• Communicates shrink issues to management.
• Communicates guest requests/concerns to management.
• Makes PA announcements for sale and promotional items in the meat/seafood department.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to effectively communicate with the Store Manager and Merchandiser.
