Job summary

America's Heartland Packing seeks a QC Technician to monitor and verify beef product specifications in a beef harvest and fabrication facility. You will ensure products meet customer specs, regulatory requirements, and company quality standards through inspections, documentation, and clear communication with production teams.

You will collaborate with Quality Control, FSQA, and Operations to support product quality, accuracy of specifications, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States.
• Must communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• High school diploma or GED required; related science degree preferred for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Verify beef product compliance with customer, company, and regulatory specifications.
• Monitor fabrication, harvest, and offal processes for trim levels, cut dimensions, weights, packaging, labeling, and other quality attributes.
• Conduct routine audits and inspections of production lines and finished products.
• Document specification observations, inspection findings, and quality data accurately and timely.
• Monitor quality indicators including defects, customer complaints, yield losses, and specification accuracy.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
• Assist with new product and customer specification implementation.
• Evaluate non-conforming products and determine disposition per procedures.
• Assist with investigations of specification deviations and corrective actions.
• Follow all food safety, quality, regulatory, and employee safety requirements.
