Job summary

Caviness Beef Packers is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to monitor and inspect production in our Amarillo grind plant. You’ll verify beef products meet company standards, customer specs, and USDA/FSIS requirements while ensuring documentation is accurate and audit-ready.

You will work on the grind floor with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency, lifting up to 60 lbs and providing clear updates to keep the line moving and compliance intact.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a quality assurance technician in beef processing or grind plant setting.
• Knowledge of GMPs and USDA/FSIS food safety regulations.
• Strong attention to detail with solid communication and recordkeeping skills.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical tasks on the shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect production processes to ensure on-spec, on-safe products.
• Verify products meet company standards and customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain compliance with USDA/FSIS expectations through clear documentation.
• Assist on the grind plant floor to support production while keeping audits ready.
