Job summary

Xanitos, Inc. is hiring Full-Time Patient Observation Assistants (POA’s) for all shifts at PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Longview, WA. The role involves constant patient observation, assisting with mobility and meals, and collaborating with nursing staff to maintain safety and privacy.

Responsibilities include documenting observations, reorienting distressed patients, and promptly reporting safety issues to the charge nurse. Training for CPR/BLS is provided by Xanitos.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent.
• Must read and understand English communications for patient care.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the patient’s condition visually and audibly at all times.
• Remain at the bedside unless relieved by staff.
• Redirect at-risk behavior to ensure patient safety.
• Complete observation reports at assigned times.
• Interact courteously with staff, patients, visitors, and colleagues.
