Job summary

Xanitos, Inc. is hiring Patient Observation Assistants for all shifts at PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Longview, WA.

The role is full-time and on-site, with a pay rate of $19 per hour. Shifts run 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, including weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include ongoing patient observation, rapid reporting to nurses, and ensuring patient safety and comfort while collaborating with healthcare staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification required.
• Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required.
• Must be able to read and understand written English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient condition visually and audibly at all times.
• Remain at bedside unless relieved by staff.
• Redirect patients from at-risk behaviors and escalate as needed.
• Complete observation reports at scheduled times.
• Assist with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Escort patients for diagnostic testing and assist with ambulation when safe.
