Job summary

Xanitos, Inc is hiring Part-Time Patient Observation Assistants (POA) for PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Longview, WA. The role emphasizes vigilant patient observation, coordination with RN staff, and adherence to hospital policies.

Responsibilities include staying at the bedside, promptly reporting concerns, and assisting with basic patient needs while maintaining confidentiality and safety protocols. Training, CPR/BLS, and hospital orientation are provided.

Qualifications

• Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
• Ability to read and understand written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned patient’s condition visually and audibly at all times.
• Remain at the bedside unless relieved by staff.
• Report safety concerns and notify nursing staff as needed.
• Assist with patient meals, orientation, and transportation as required.
• Follow hospital and department policies, HIPAA, and confidentiality rules.
