Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient bedside care (bathing, feeding, toileting, grooming).
• Measure, document, and report vital signs, intake/output, weights, and specimens as ordered.
• Assist with patient transfers using proper body mechanics and safe handling.
• Prepare unit, patient rooms, and beds for admissions; maintain clean, safe, and organized areas.
• Respond promptly to patient and family calls; document and communicate changes to the nursing team.
• Maintain infection prevention standards and patient safety; ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with charging processes for patients using hospital systems.
• Participate in required trainings and support department goals.
